Architectural Concept for a Contemporary Amphitheatre
This project involved the architectural design and spatial planning of a modern open-air amphitheatre intended for public performances, concerts, and cultural events. The concept reinterprets classical amphitheatre typologies through a contemporary lens, combining monumentality, regularity, and environmental integration.

Key Deliverables:
Generation of the core architectural idea: references to classical structures (Pompeii, Colosseum, Kourion) interpreted with modern materials and engineering
Concept massing studies and 3D models including multiple layout options with permanent and temporary seating (813 fixed + 1200 modular)
Detailed floor plans, sections, and elevations across four levels (including stage pit, main seating, rehearsal areas, technical floor, and roof level)
Complete spatial program:
– stage and backstage zones
– administrative and staff areas
– dressing rooms, rehearsal halls, and tech corridors
– accessible seating and circulation
– rooftop technical infrastructure
Recommendations for material selection (e.g. recycled plastic seating, textured plaster, smooth concrete, fire-resistant finishes)
Exterior visualizations with multiple configurations (with/without temporary structures, with landscaping and glass canopy)
Site plan with contextual placement and logistics for equipment access, fire routes, and visitor zoning

The amphitheatre is designed as a modular, adaptive venue that can host a variety of formats — from small cultural gatherings to large public events — with optimized backstage functionality and visual presence.
